José Manuel Dias da Fonseca: CEO MDS Group and Brokerslink

José Manuel Dias da Fonseca is CEO at MDS Group and Brokerslink, a global broking company.
He is a renowned risk management expert, with more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and risk industry. In addition to his current responsibilities, he is Member of the Board at Ed, member of the Board of CIAB, the American association of insurance brokers and agents, and Chairman at APOGERIS, the Portuguese association of risk managers.
Prior to joining MDS, Fonseca was responsible for launching “bancassurance” in Portugal, founded a pension fund management company and was President of an insurance company. He received a degree in economics and a post-degree in “Management Publique” from ENA, Ecole Nationale d’Administration, in Paris. Fonseca is also Officier de l’Ordre des arts et des lettres, France.

Jacqueline Legrand: Chief Operating Officer

Jacqueline Legrand is Chief Operating Officer at MDS Holdings, CEO at HighDome and Regional Manager EMEA at Brokerslink.
Jacqueline Legrand has a strong and relevant experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining MDS Holdings in 2012, Jacqueline was Managing Director at Frank Crystal in New York and Director and member of the Executive Committee at Theoreme, a French Insurance brokerage firm.
Legrand received a master degree in business administration from ESLSCA, Paris, and earned the Associate in Risk Management designation (ARM), USA.

Ricardo Pinto dos Santos: CEO

Ricardo Pinto dos Santos is CEO at MDS Portugal. He started his career at Contacto Corretores de Seguros, an insurance brokerage firm in Portugal. Throughout his career, he was assigned to different areas of the business ranging from sales, process quality and technology that helped him round up his business management experience. In 2007, Ricardo Pinto dos Santos became Board Member at Patris, prior to joining MDS in 2010. He studied Management and Finance at IESF, Portugal.

Paula Rios: Executive Director

With a Law Degree from Catholic University –Lisbon, and post graduate studies in Strategic Management and Marketing, Paula Rios has wide experience in the insurance industry, where she has worked since 1985. Paula Rios began her career at AGF Group and then worked for Tranquilidadeand ICI. Before joining MDS, she was Chief Underwriting Officer at Liberty Seguros. Between 1997 and 2004, Paula Rios represented Portugal on the Liability Technical Committee of the European Insurance Committee, where she coordinated the Terrorism and Environment Work Groups.
